Content Marketer (part time)

Content Marketer (part time independent contractor)

THE POSITION

We are looking for a creative Copywriter/Content Marketer (independent contractor) to write clear and concise copy for social media posts, blogs, marketing collateral, press releases and websites and contribute to the execution of our content marketing strategy. Your words will inform and engage target audiences and help us continue to build our corporate brand and thought leadership position.

Our ideal candidate is a strategic, skilled and imaginative Content Marketer with the ability to write engaging content and provide strategic direction around ongoing content marketing and brand-building initiatives. If you can grasp project requirements quickly, work efficiently and offer valuable insight, we’d like to meet you.

This is a part-time opportunity (5-10 hours per week) for an indefinite period of time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Write clear, compelling and engaging copy/content with a distinct and consistent voice
  • Interpret copywriting briefs to understand project requirements
  • Proactively identify opportunities and take ownership over marketing and content strategy (planning, publishing, and promotion of the content)
  • Collaborate with designers and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (e.g. press releases, email campaigns and landing pages)
  • Conduct high-quality research and interviews
  • Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach
  • Source images and other content

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • A positive, genuine and relationship-focused individual
  • Proven experience as a copywriter, content marketer or related role
  • Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience with SEO
  • A creative and effective storyteller 
  • Quickly understands our marketing and sales funnel and who the target audience is
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of or experience with professional services firms, recruitment, executive search, and/or talent management an asset
  • Genuine interest in topics related to talent acquisition, talent retention, career progression, leadership, technology and innovation
  • A positive, authentic and relationship-focused individual who exemplifies our core values: integrity, innovation, humility, trust + transparency, partnership and diversity
  • BSc/BA in marketing, English, journalism or a related field is an asset
